The Innomed incubator brings together multidisciplinary teams from the Can Ruti ecosystem to accelerate the valorisation and development of innovative healthcare solutions
A new edition of the GrowInn incubator has officially kicked off at the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), bringing together 15 health innovation projects from across the Can Ruti ecosystem.
The launch event gathered researchers, clinicians, and innovation professionals from the different institutions involved in Innomed, including healthcare and research centres such as IGTP, Hospital Germans Trias, IrsiCaixa, Institut Guttmann, Institut Català d’Oncologia, and the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute.
During the kick-off session, participants took part in interactive activities designed to foster collaboration and align perspectives from the outset. Through a participatory spectrum mapping exercise, attendees reflected on key aspects of health innovation, shared expectations, and began building connections that will support collaborative work throughout the program.
Over the coming months, the selected teams will engage in a structured program combining training sessions, mentorship, and hands-on work. The focus will be on key aspects of project valorisation, including intellectual property, regulatory pathways, and market opportunities. The program also aims to strengthen participants’ ability to define strategic action plans and communicate their projects effectively.
GrowInn plays a key role in strengthening the Can Ruti Campus as a leading health innovation ecosystem, promoting collaboration between institutions, researchers, and clinical professionals. By supporting the translation of ideas into tangible solutions, the program contributes to accelerating the impact of research on healthcare systems and patient outcomes.
The program will culminate in the Innomed Awards, where participating teams will present their projects to an audience of industry representatives, investors, and key stakeholders, marking an important milestone in their journey towards real-world implementation.
